  Dr. Stephen is AMAZING. He is so personable and genuinely interested in each patients issues. He delivered me and now he's my ob, as well as my mother's still, after 25 years. If it were solely based on him this would be a 1000 star review. My issue is with the receptionist/front desk staff. Every time I call or have an appointment they are so rude. I've been in customer service my entire life (restaurants, offices, currently a call center for a global bank) so I am one of the most understanding people that someone in service will ever come across, because I've seen it all and dealt with it all. I cannot imagine what those girls go through working there around a bunch of hormonal pregnant women. Working in a hospital period has to be insanity! Especially dealing with insurance, difficult patients, appointments, phone calls, etc. I don't know if I could do it, but they are doing it and that's a choice of profession/career for the time being. Not every person that calls the line or walk through that door is going to be difficult or rude, so there's no excuse for treating them like they are. A smile and a yes or no will be just fine. No one should feel like they're going to be blown off when they have an important question about something relating to their health. Even when it's difficult everyone deserves to be taken seriously and not treated like ignorant children when they need medical help or advise. Hopefully this isn't an issue for all of the patients of Dr. Stephens, because it doesn't feel good to dread calling your OBGYNs office with a medical problem because you're scared to deal with the staff. Every other aspect of his practice exceeds expectations.
